DNF.

At its core, it’s a sci-fi story set in a world where your place in society is determined by your ability to see colors. The society follows a long list of weird laws, such as those that ban spoons and the number 73, and has a Black Mirror-esque use of “merits” that you can earn or lose based on your behavior.

It’s a weird concept, and the way the story is told only makes it weirder. It seems to bounce all over the place, while constantly making attempts at tongue-in-cheek humor. I’m not sure why, but none of the humor landed for me, I found the dystopian setting felt overly contrived and nonsensical, and I found following the story a chore.

I gave up about 15% of the way through.
