'Kill for Me' by Tom Wood
'Kill for Me' by Tom Wood

The head of a Guatemalan drug cartel, Heloise Espinosa, hires Victor to take out her biggest competitor: her sister. Whereas the previous book in the series moved away from the usual formula, this book is back to the tried-and-true model: Victor is hired for a hit, he does meticulous planning, Victor is betrayed, another assassin enters the picture, and we get to see Victor improvise and adapt in clever ways.

It’s not my favorite entry in the series, but it’s entertaining enough. There are some good action scenes (especially involving that other assassin), a few clever plot twists, and as always, Victor is one step ahead. I’m looking forward to his next hit!
