'Super Powereds: Year 2' by Drew Hayes
'Super Powereds: Year 2' by Drew Hayes

The good

  • All the good parts of the previous book: fun premise, great characters, creative superpowers, and fun action scenes.
  • Since the premise and characters are already familiar, this second book is able to dive right into the fun.
  • The basic premise of superheroes training in a university has a wonderful advantage: we get to see the heroes grow and improve, which is satisfying to see.
  • Reveals more of the underlying mystery.
  • Things are starting to get more serious and grown-up.

The not so good

  • Still some of the same boring college themes from the previous book, but not as bad.

Overall

An excellent second entry in the series. Onto book 3!
