I loved World War Z, but this one didn’t quite hit the mark for me. There are a few funny parts and a few clever parts, but for the most part, it’s a surprisingly dry overview of how to survive zombies. It’s an odd mix of taking itself too seriously, but not quite seriously enough. I thought the catalog of recorded historical attacks at the end might save the book, and perhaps have some of the charm of World War Z, but those were also fairly meh.
