'All the Sinners Bleed' by S.A. Cosby
'All the Sinners Bleed' by S.A. Cosby

The good

  • Interesting setting: a southern town with a black sheriff. Plenty of social commentary that is handled reasonably well.

  • The characters feel like real people.

  • A dark mystery to keep the book moving.

  • Good writing¬†and pacing.

The not so good

  • The story is really dark: child rape, murder, torture. Those parts are not pleasant to read.
