The good
-
A satisfying conclusion to the series. It’s a somewhat guessable finale, but it works well enough.
-
Some of the new magical items introduced in this book were super fun and unique. I loved the old lady who sold magical items in exchange for… years of your life. “The cost is… 3.”
-
The characters are still fun, especially Lila. Can’t ever have enough knives!
The not so good
-
Several characters make completely pointless sacrifices. I hate it when stories have someone do that.
-
I expected the villain to be developed a bit more, but he just remained a generic evil entity.
