The good
-
The core premise is intriguing: what happens when almost everyone on earth goes blind?
-
A number of interesting concepts: post-apocalyptic society; walking, carnivorous plants called Triffids; the cause of the blindness (which I’ll leave out to avoid spoilers); etc.
-
Decent pacing and action.
The not so good
- The characters are mostly flat tropes: the heroic male protagonist; the damsel in distress; etc.
