'The Creative Act: A Way of Being' by Rick Rubin

DNF.

Each chapter is ~2 pages of platitudes, new age babble, and Buddhist-wannabe spiritual nonsense. All of life is interconnected, we’re all creative, there’s energy everywhere, blah blah blah. In between chapters, there are little poems or quotes that, I guess, are supposed to be inspirational, but largely fall flat. I got 80 pages in (~20% of the book), realized I had gotten nothing of value, and gave up. I have no idea why this book is so highly rated.
