The good
-
A fascinating and terrifying premise around the possibility of nuclear war.
-
Feels realistic and well-researched, which makes it even more terrifying.
-
Multiple plot lines that eventually converge in an interesting manner.
-
Very exciting finale where you can barely put the book down.
The not so good
- This book is soooooooooooooo drawn out. It’s 300 pages of stories stretched out to over 1,030 pages. So much of it just feels like filler. It takes what would otherwise have been a superb story and makes it into a chore to read, until the exciting finale. What a shame; A better editor could’ve easily turned this into a 5 star rating.
