'Real Tigers' by Mick Herron
'Real Tigers' by Mick Herron

The good

  • More good humor.

  • Jackson Lamb continues to be a fantastic character (and the cause of most of the humor).

  • Exciting plot & pacing.

  • The world of MI5, terrorism, and intrigue, and the focus on Slough House, where they send the “washed up” spies with failing careers (who make for great antiheroes), continues to be highly entertaining.

The not so good

  • Not quite as funny as Dead Lions.

  • The plot is still a bit too convoluted. That said, in this regard, this book was actually better than Dead Lions.
