'The Magic of Reality' by Richard Dawkins
'The Magic of Reality' by Richard Dawkins

A nice quick read that tries to explain common questions—such as where did humans come from, why we have night or day, what is the sun, what is a rainbow, and what is an earthquake—using science. I think this book is mostly targeted at kids and maybe teens; by the time you’re an adult, if you’ve taken a few science classes, you probably know all these already. It’s well written, with lots of good analogies and clear explanations (though it could’ve benefited from a few diagrams), and in Dawkins’ typical style, it takes type to poke fun at religion and myths.
