'Paradox Bound' by Peter Clines
'Paradox Bound' by Peter Clines

The good

  • Fun, mysterious premise that grabs you right at the start, and keeps you turning pages for a while. The idea of time travelers bouncing from place to place and time to time on a mysterious quest makes for entertaining reading.

  • With the exception of the generic white male protagonist, all the other characters are unique and interesting (especially the villains).

  • A few really interesting moments that arise from the time travel “paradoxes.”

The not so good

  • The core premise of the story is cheesy and nonsensical.

  • If you think about it too deeply, time travel stories never really make sense… So this is a book better read lightly and purely for entertainment value.
