'The Sense of an Ending' by Julian Barnes
'The Sense of an Ending' by Julian Barnes

An interesting exploration of memory, unreliable narrators, and how we all think about and “edit” our pasts. The story is quite short, ends very abruptly, and the characters (mainly, Viktoria) are a bit hard to believe. That said, other characters are more interesting, there are a few funny/memorable scenes and quotes, and some pretty good twists at the end.
