Maybe 3.5 stars?
Terrific first half: great premise, decent detective work, a few fun action scenes, and some genuinely laugh-out-loud moments.
Not as good of a second half: the reveal ends up being quite dark and depressing, and the story meanders a bit towards the end, as if Lee Child couldn’t figure out a good way to wrap things up.
