'Whose Body?' by Dorothy L. Sayers
'Whose Body?' by Dorothy L. Sayers

The good

  • Intriguing mystery: a body shows up in a bathtub, with nothing on but some Pince-nez, and no one has any idea who it is.

  • The resolution to the mystery is reasonably clever.

  • Lord Peter is a mildly interesting protagonist.

The not so good

  • The other characters are not particularly interesting.

  • The writing feels a bit muddled.

Overall

This feels like it could be a good detective series, but this first entry is a bit hit or miss. Perhaps it’s worth trying one more…
