I’ve always found this to be an entertaining and light-hearted series, but starting around book 10, it has really picked up, and this latest entry was great. The stakes are higher than ever, things seem even more impossible than before, but somehow, the Merry Band of Pirates just keep coming up with super clever solutions, while tossing around silly banter and insults along the way. I’m amazed this series has been good through so many books, that I’m now up to book 13 (!), and still very much looking forward to the next one, so my hat is off to Craig Alanson.
