'A Monstrous Regiment of Women' by Laurie R. King

This one didn’t work for me at all. It started off super slow, then introduced an interesting character and mystery, but in the end, the mystery was solved with very little detective work, and wasn’t much of a mystery, and the interesting character ended up super lame. Also, Mary and Sherlock’s relationship becoming intimate is just gross: he’s her mentor, acts like a fatherly figure, and is old enough to be her grandfather, so for them to become a couple feels wrong.
