The good
-
Some really cool sci fi concepts.
-
The description of installing an aug and learning to use it is really cool.
-
Some decent action.
The not so good
-
The plot jumps around a lot and is a bit jumbled in the first half of the book. It becomes much more focused later on when the various strands come together.
-
All the characters are pretty flat and uninteresting. The villains are cartoony bad guys and there’s no obvious protagonist to root for.
So overall, a cool sci fi universe that is badly in need of some more fun, realistic, fully-though out inhabitants :)
