'Into the War' by Italo Calvino
'Into the War' by Italo Calvino

The good

  • A few interesting autobiographical tales from Italy during World War Two. It was a unique glimpse into what it was like to grow up as a teenager during war, fascism, etc.

The not so good

  • The stories themselves are a bit boring, to be honest. They don’t seem to go anywhere, there’s not much of a larger, overarching theme, and I largely forgot them immediately after reading.
