The good

• Some really, really cool sci fi concepts.

• Decent characters.

The not so good

• Throws so many sci fi concepts at you early in the book that it’s a bit hard to follow.

• The plot doesn’t make very satisfying use of all the sci fi concepts. Some feel too magical, some not enough.
