'The Black Echo' by Michael Connelly

The good

  • A fun, well-written, easy read that’s hard to put down.
  • Does a good job of putting you in the world of a crime-ridden 90’s LA.
  • Bosch is an interesting character.
  • Entertaining detective work and crime solving.

The not so good

  • Most of the characters not named Bosch are fairly flat.
  • The twists at the end are a bit too convoluted and improbable.

Overall

Yummy popcorn read. Nothing brilliant, but pretty damn entertaining.
