Review: Everything I Never Told You by Celeste Ng

The good

• Beautiful writing.
• Tragic story.
• Powerful themes: sacrificing for your children and then trying to live life through them; trying to fit in a society that fears all differences (race, gender, etc); all that is unsaid between loved ones.

The not so good

• The characters in the story were a mixed bag. They sometimes felt more like convenient plot devices or a mouthpiece for the author than real people.

Overall

Well worth reading.
