The good:
- It’s a decent mystery story
- There are several fun characters
- The writing is OK
- It’s fun to “hang out” with the lead character, John Corey
- The book is generally entertaining, and I usually looked forward to picking it up
The not so good:
- Some aspects of the book seem like they were written by a 15 year old boy: e.g., every single woman in the entire story, without exception, is attractive, and many of them immediately want to sleep with John Corey
- The “big reveal” is obvious halfway through, but the book drags it out
- The ending drags on and feels a bit unnecessary
